Ilko Kucheriv is a Director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation (DIF) since its establishment. DIF was founded in 1992 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization. Based in Kyiv, DIF supports Ukraine's transition towards a fully functioning democracy and, more specifically, the development of a civil society in Ukraine. In 2004 DIF in collaboration with four leading polling organizations, namely Socis, Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), Social Monitoring and the Razumkov Center is organizing a nationwide exit-poll for a total representative sample of 50,000. DIF will work together a New Choice-2004 civil coalition in order to ensure widespread dissemination of this information.

Popov Ihor, has been occupying the post of the Chairman of Ukrainian national NGO "Committee of Voters of Ukraine"(CVU) since 1996. He manages all the activity of this non-party organization, which has 190 branches in all regions of Ukraine (the largest network in this country). CVU organized independent observing campaigns during the elections in Ukraine in 1998 and 1999, 2002, thus, more than 23 000 CVU observers were working at the poll stations. The estimation given by the observers was taken into account by the Government and international institutions. In periods between elections CVU undertakes elucidation activities, advocacy, publishes monthly newspaper and also CVU has created the first informational political Internet portal in Ukraine. The main subject matter of the programs is the responsibility of power authorities. Also Mr. Popov participated in observing campaigns during elections held in 20 countries. Postgraduate education - political sociologist, investigates electoral behavior. Involved in political analysis activities, takes part in different "round tables", comments political events in newspapers and on TV.

Chekmyshev Oleksandr is a Head of "Equal Access" Committee, since 1994. In the year 2004 in cooperation with association "Spilniy prostir" the Committee hold the monitoring of Mass Media in Kyiv and all regions of Ukraine for representing the main tendencies on leading national and regional TV channels, and also in leading national and regional newspapers concerning the level of electors' access to information, necessary for conscious choice (1); equal access of the contenders to Mass Media (2); the opportunities to distribute the social advertisement (3). The two organizations also hold round tables in the region with the purpose to acquaint the journalists with the results of monitoring (1); the results of analysis of citizens' proposals concerning the public platform of future president and how the official contenders' programs correspond to the public platform (2); practical acquaintance of regional journalists with the experience and technologies of the coverage of electoral campaigns in Eastern Europe, in EU countries, in the USA, in Israel and other countries (3).
